Betty Blight comes from the old shipyard of Portsmouth. She moved to the port of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2005, where she played with postpunk female group Las Kellies. She then translated her songs of lost love and strange stories into cumbia as Betty Confetti. When the late nights became too much in 2019, she set sail for the safety of England. She can now be found in Bristol, writing folk songs about odd people and nobility. This month she’s releasing the song Runt, shortly to be followed by Lady Betty and Little One.
