Sally Robinson

Time: 1:00 pm

Sally Robinson is a progressive indie-folk artist from South Wales. Her performances combine compelling lyricism, gluey guitar lines, and soaring melodies to help share her stories. She is frequently compared to Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and The Staves. Due to coronavirus restrictions, she is taking advantage of the decreased use of bizarre spaces to record a series of short live videos, each in an unusual place, to make use of the interesting architectural acoustics in spaces that would rarely be used for live music normally.

Sally performs two exclusive sets for Oxjam, one during lockdown in a Science Lab (unconfirmed location), the other at the Oxfam Bookshop in Cardiff, where she enjoys volunteering to help sort through vinyl every weekend. It was filmed to promote her new single, where she is taking advantage of the decreased use of bizarre spaces from coronavirus restrictions to record a series of short live videos. It make use of the interesting architectural acoustics in spaces that would rarely be used for live music normally.
